Action shots

One of Rhett's co workers snapped these pictures on rounds one day and shared them with us. The kids thought it was fun to see what Daddy does at work all day so I thought you might also! Most people who have ever been in a teaching hospital will recognize the scene . . . lots of doctors in white coats huddled around bedsides - same here with a few modifications. When you are done seeing one patient you can just turn around and you are at the next bedside!

From March 2010

Rhett is excited and grateful to be a part of educating the next generation of Kenyan physicians who can care for their own people's physical needs and continue to provide health care to God's glory in this country.

Back at the farm

I kind of left you hanging on the Kembu farm pictures that I'm sure you are just dying to see. So without further a do here is the tour of the farm . . .

The main farm house that has been here for over a hundred years . . .

David took us on a wonderful farm walk . . .

Where we saw lots of cows . . .

and more cows . . .

We got to see the cows getting milked . . .

Which totally freaked Claire out (as did just about everything on the farm).

Ford loved all the animals including the calves who were just a few days old . . .

Next stop was the dalia farm where they grow the flowers to make dye.

This is a farm worker house

I just realized most of my other pictures are in our other camera. Oops. You will have to imagine the chickens and thoroughbred horses :)

Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn . . .

Oh how I wish I could upload video for you to see and hear Claire reciting her Easter verses Matthew 28 1-6! How sweet it is to hear her hiding these words in her heart. Funny thing is we've been saying it so often for the last several weeks that Ford knows most of it too! I may have to raise the bar for him a little bit now that I know what he is capable of! Happy Easter!

Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord decended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. But the angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen. Matt. 28 1-6
